Fall of 2018 - We met in Birmingham, AL while attending Samford University. We had the same Foundations 101 class together where we took personality tests and found out we were the only ones in the class with the same personality type (clearly not accurate tests).

Chad asked Anna to go to Sonic one Friday evening and she agreed. Little did Chad know, her roommate also agreed to accompany them. Obviously this made Chad think Anna was not interested. Anna then soon after dropped the class and they grew apart.

Early 2020 - Thanks to some wise advice from a dear friend (thanks, Sidney) Anna reached out to Chad reminiscing about their Sonic escapade freshman year. This got the ball rolling for them to start spending time together and talking once again. Spring break came, and when they returned they went on an actual date to an exquisite 3 star Mexican restaurant. They decided they both had mutual feelings for each other. The next day, with impeccable timing, the Covid pandemic began and each were sent back home. They decided to see where things would go while being 2400 miles apart.

July 2020 - Things were going well for Anna and Chad over long distance so they made plans to meet up on a hiking trip in Phoenix, AZ. Yes, Chad in Arizona, in July. That is dedication. Anna's sister, Grace and Aunt Kim supervised them along the journey. This is where they decided to make things official and start dating, although Kim already thought we were. (Our first official picture together)

Fall 2020 - Anna and Chad were able to resume schooling as normal again in Birmingham. This came with many adventures as well as trips to Kentucky as they grew closer and closer.

Winter 2021 - Anna was able to visit Washington over Christmas break and meet many of Chad's family and friends while being immersed in PNW winter activities. They went to concerts, conquered many hikes, and endured through the rest of university.

Spring 2022 - Chad and Anna finally graduated from Samford University together. Soon after, they would unfortunately be put into long distance again.

Spring 2023 - Anna and Chad were unable to see each other much, but through FaceTime and long nights watching movies over the phone they remained hopeful for the ending of the distance. While Chad was in Basic Training they turned to writing letters and a couple very short phone calls. After being able to briefly see each other again at his graduation, it was right back to long distance while Chad was in training.

Summer 2023 - Luckily Chad was in Florida for most of his training (a short 8 hour drive for Anna) and she was sporadically able to come visit him. They started planning for the future and what life was going to look like for them.

Winter 2023/24 - Chad flew to Kentucky in the winter and with coordination from many family members was able to definitely surprise Anna with a proposal (she had no idea).

Two days later, Chad and Anna were married by her Papaw with Granny and Aunt Kim as witnesses.

Spring 2024 - Finishing out Chad's training while remaining long distance, they found out they were going to be moving to Charleston, SC to begin their lives together.

April 2024 - They arrived together to take on South Carolina and life head on. Chad is currently working for Uncle Sam and Anna is continuing her education at the Medical University of South Carolina.

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our best friends and family in December!
